(plus my foolproof tips for holiday magic without the meltdown)
Hi sweet mamas! Anne here, with Gabby & Lou curled up by the Christmas tree in their favorite pj's. The holidays are hitting different this year — the girls are old enough to “help” decorate (read: eat the gingerbread ornaments) and I’m over here tearing up at every twinkly light. If you’re like me, you’re already dreaming of those family Christmas photos, the matching PJs on Christmas Eve, and that first Santa pic where she doesn’t cry (fingers crossed). But let’s be real: babies + holidays = adorable chaos. That’s why I’m sharing my favorite Gabby Lou Christmas outfits and a few mama hacks to make this season feel like the fairytale it should be.

1. The Christmas Eve PJ Glow-Up
Nothing says “cozy magic” like footed pima onesies under the tree. Our Baby Blues Footed Onesie in that soft knitted Pima was my go-to for Christmas Eve snuggles — it’s breathable so they don't overheat by the fire, and the knitted cotton feels extra special. Pro tip: Tuck a little lavender sachet in their crib for sweet dreams (and to mask the smell of whatever holiday cookie disaster happened in the kitchen).
2. The “Oh My Goodness” Christmas Dress
For the big day (or that family dinner where everyone pinches her cheeks), you need a dress that twirls, photographs like a dream, and survives cranberry sauce spills. Enter our Smocked Angel Wing Dress — those flutter sleeves look like real angel wings under the lights, and the skirt is made for spinning around. Layer with a white faux-fur vest for the chill and a white romper underneath for easy changes — because nobody wants a wardrobe malfunction mid-present-opening.
3. The Everyday Holiday Sparkle
Not every Christmas moment is a photoshoot (thank goodness). For cookie baking, light parades, or just lounging by the fire, our Ruffle Romper is pure joy. That Royal Blue glows under string lights, you can layer it with a black or white long sleeve romper and tights to keep her cozy while she “helps” wrap gifts (aka crinkle paper for hours). Add a giant red bow and you’ve got instant holiday cute without the fuss.
4. The Heirloom Blanket for All the Snuggles
No Christmas is complete without a blanket fort under the tree. Our Pink Pleated Heirloom Blanket is the one I pull out every year — double-layer pima with those pleated ruffles that make every photo look like a Hallmark movie. Use it for tummy time with the twinkly lights, or wrap her up for that first snow (even if it’s just flurries in Oklahoma). It’s the piece you’ll hand down with stories of her first Christmas giggles.
My Top 3 Mama Hacks for a Merry (Not Meltdown) Christmas
- Photo time without tears: Do pics right after a nap and full tummy. Wave and make faces like a lunatic behind the camera — works every time.
- Gift wrap like a pro: Tuck a surprise mini bow in every package for her. It’s the tiny thing that makes unwrapping feel extra magical.
- Survive the chaos: Pack an extra outfit in the diaper bag (spills happen). And remember, the best memories are the messy ones — frosting on the nose, bows in the hair, all of it.
This Christmas, let’s dress our babies in pieces that feel as special as the season. Whether it’s their first holiday or their second and fourth (like my tiny bosses), these outfits are made to make hearts melt and memories last.
